Trunk-or-Treat

On Sunday, October 24 from 4:00-5:30 p.m., bring your children and grandchildren for outdoor fun and an extra excuse for kids to don their costumes for Trunk-or-Treat! Whether or not you have kids dressing up, please come and decorate your car and be part of the afternoon of fun, music, games, contests, and fellowship. We need peanut-free candy and small prize donations, which will be collected in the foyer of the education building, and sign up to decorate your car for the trunk-or-treating. This is a fun opportunity for the whole community. ALL are welcome.

Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper

Join us for pancakes hosted by the Men’s Society on Shrove Tuesday, February 25th in the Fellowship Hall from 5:30-7:00 p.m.; $5/family.

The name Shrove comes from the old word “shrive” which means to confess. In the Middle Ages, people would confess their sins on Shrove Tuesday to begin the penitent Lenten season with a clean slate!

Shrove Tuesday is a day of celebration as well as repentance. Lent is historically a time of giving things up, so Shrove Tuesday is the last chance to indulge. Pancakes are eaten on this day because they contain fat, butter and eggs (significant, flavorful food groups which were forbidden during Lent).

Come for our third annual Trunk-or-Treat Night, Sunday, October 27th from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Bring your kids for an extra excuse to don their costume!

This will be a fun evening of intergenerational food and fun, so whether or not you have kids dressing up, please come for dinner and decorate your car and be part of the evening of fun and fellowship.

Peanut-free candy and small toy donations are needed and can be dropped off in the donation box in the education building. Please contact Sarah Craven if you’ll be able to decorate your car for the Trunk-or-Treating or sign up here.

Men's Oyster Roast

The Men’s Society Oyster Roast will be Saturday, March 3rd at George Smythe’s Gator Hut at Dawhoo. Official start is noon, but any and all are welcome any time after about 10am. Beautiful day, good food, great fellowship! Contact Brad Milner for more information at (843)343-9724.

Parents' Night Out

There will be a Parents’ Night Out Friday, February 23rd from 6:00-8:30pm for children of all ages, up to fifth grade. We need youth volunteers as well.
 
Sign up by emailing Liv by February 20th. Supper will be served. Cost is $15 for the first child, $10 for each additional child, $30 family max.
