40 Days of Prayer: Healthcare Workers

Healthcare Workers:

I will freely admit that I had this on my list well before the coronavirus was a worldwide phenomenon.  But anyone who has ever walked into a doctor’s office or hospital knows full well that the healthcare workers all around our nation are overworked and overwhelmed.  We have so many health issues within our country and a sever lack of access to good health care.

As Christians we are called to look after the sick and our healthcare workers are those who stand in the gap. Pray for their families who share them with those in need. Pray for their medical safety as they treat those who are suffering. Pray for wisdom and the strength to discern when no answer seems to be found.

Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.

Philippians 2:3-4 NIV

I will search for the lost and bring back the strays. I will bind up the injured and strengthen the weak, but the sleek and the strong I will destroy. I will shepherd the flock with justice.

Ezekiel 34:16 NIV
