Be the church! Offer your time, talents and resources in service to God and get involved in the life of the church through discipleship and fellowship opportunities at Second.
“For as in one body we have many members, and not all the members have the same function, so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually we are members one of another. We have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us: prophecy, in proportion to faith; ministry, in ministering; the teacher, in teaching; the exhorter, in exhortation; the giver, in generosity; the leader, in diligence; the compassionate, in cheerfulness.” Romans 12:4-8
Jesus calls the church to be a compelling force for good in the world, and we believe that the church is at its best when it serves, sacrifices, and loves, caring about the things God cares about. Be it in service to the church, our fellow congregants, or through neighborhood service opportunities, we are called to humbly give of our time and resources to build relationship and meet the needs of others.
We believe that we were created to live deeply with one another, in friendship, suffering and celebrating together. It's in these honest, loving relationships that God transforms us and the truth of Christ’s promises becomes a reality. Be involved in a group so that you can be known and nurtured and come together in fellowship to study God’s word and be fulfilled in the ways of Jesus.
We were created to live for something greater than ourselves. Through missions initiatives we can provide support beyond the walls of the church, meeting local, national and global needs. Led by the Spirit of God, we are passionate about relieving suffering and fighting injustice by joining the God of the oppressed in living out the transforming message of the resurrected Jesus. Please join us as we extend God’s reach beyond the walls of Second Presbyterian through missions and outreach initiatives.
Each Sunday we come together to renew ourselves in worship, celebrate the divine in the daily, pursue lives of hope, and reflect gratitude. Together we worship a generous God and we can each commit, weekly or on occasion, to give of our time or talents. There are opportunities to serve on Sundays to benefit and enhance the worship experience.
While fellowship is a wonderful aspect of many Sundays, meetings, and study gatherings, there are specific ways Second Presbyterian supports the relational aspect of the church family. We believe that we were created to live deeply with one another- knowing and loving, suffering and celebrating alongside one another. There are continued opportunities that foster multi-generational friendship on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis and there are regular gatherings for people at similar stages in life to come together in fellowship throughout the year.
Find a way to be involved and serve the church, our neighborhood, and our global community.

Looking for more ways to give?
As Christians, we are called to give generously of our time, our talents, and our money. It is important to realize your pledge and tithe throughout the year so that the church’s mission and ministries can be funded.
Pray about what you are called to give- and keep up with your pledged tithe throughout the year so that church operations and ministries can be sustained and grown. Simply setting up a direct deposit with your bank or recurring payments online can help make a difference. Challenge yourself to give 10% more this year or $5 extra a week, however you might feel called.
If you would like to sponsor a ministry or Christian Education venture, please contact Jordyn Pritchard.
Special Offerings are collected throughout the year and posted in the bulletin and online. Those opportunities are great ways to fund the missional heart of the church.
The "Wish List" is now online! Donations are appreciated, and this way you get to choose specifically how you would like to contribute!
If you’d like a list to take with you on your next shopping trip to Costco or Staples, please take a Wish List card. Donations are collected in the foyer of the Education Building.
